Natural Eggshell Calcium is...

We eat eggs everyday.  Eggs are so nutritious, in fact, that they make an ideal food.

But we usually throw away a very useful part of the egg - the eggshell.

Eggshell is a bio-based natural source and it is very useful.

It is safer than any other calciums.  So we can use it for food, medicine, and cosmetics etc...

In order to make eggshell calcium, firstly we have to prepare for material - eggshell.

And for use calcium effectively, we have to reduce eggshell to powder.

At that time we must remove egg membrane, foreign bodies, eggwhite scraps and other proteins perfectly.  There should be any other proteins or foreign bodies in powder when it is done.  Because it is allergen.  Also it cause spoil.

There is two method to make the eggshell calcium.  Let's look at the two methods.

Firing burning method
Process : firing burning- drying hydration-react-(fine pulverize)-packing

Firing burning method is burn the egg shell over 1,000℃(1,832℉).

At that time most of organic material is burned.

To do this method cannot exist also egg membrane but also any other protein.

So in this way we can get high-quality and safe eggshell calcium.

Grinding and washing method
Process : washing- grinding-remove egg membrane with washing (have to repeat this washing process many times )-dry-grinding-fine grinding-sterilization-packing

This method is punctuated with repeated washing process for many times. It is essential process so as to remove the egg membrane and any other protein in goods.

Grinding and washing method is peeling out egg membrane from egg shells by specific gravity in water. So using this method is needed much water and time. This method is not cheap.

Finally you have to dispose of this black water. It also needs much cost.

If you dispose the black water by a lawful way, it also cost you a lot.

If you do these processes sometimes there are still left some egg membrane or any other protein.

As a final drying process, in this method is needed to use sterilize with hot blast.

But some bacteria have tolerance for heat so that you cannot remove bacteria perfectly.

If you want perfectly remove the bacteria, it is needed high temperature. But in high temperature, egg-shell powder's  color can be changed.  In eggshell calcium rating, 'whiteness' is very important.   It is dilemma.

If you dispose the black water illegally, grinding and washing method can be cheap and easy way to make the goods.

This is the reason why the most of the factory choose the grinding and washing method.

There are many kinds of calcium in the world.

We can get the calcium from eggshell, oystershell, clamshell and mineral etc. also can synthesize the calcium chemically.

We should be careful when we eat or use the calcium.

Because some kind of calcium contain foreign bodies or heavy metal.

Lead or heavy metal-tainted calcium is very harmful to human body.

Most countries has banned its use as a food additive.  But the reality is...
